Director of Leek based LSGK Accountants, Jed Eatough (pictured) is one of the latest business leaders to be elected to the prestigious Council of the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce.

The Chamber’s Council comprises 40 local business people and meets quarterly to discuss issues affecting the local economy, acting as the principal forum for the Chamber’s policy and representation work.

Chamber Councillors hear from a variety of high-profile speakers throughout the year and act as a voice of business on behalf of the membership.

Jed’s election to the Council was rubber stamped at the Annual General Meeting of the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce on 28 November.

Jed, who is already a member of the local area board of the Staffordshire Moorlands Chamber of Commerce, commented: “I’ve been actively involved with the Chamber for the last 18 months and have found it a great way to increase my circle of useful business contacts whilst having a say in local issues that directly affect my, and my clients’, businesses.

“I was asked to join the Moorland’s Board earlier this year and having had such a positive experience there I heard about the vacancies on the Council and decided to apply.

“I’m looking forward to Council meetings and the wider involvement with businesses across the county.

“I would recommend any business to consider joining the Chamber as it is it such a positive forward-looking organisation and a great ally, working on behalf of all local business.”
